Thread regarding CVS layoffs

They should target employees who work multiple fulltime jobs!

Get rid of employees who work multiple fulltime jobs instead of employees who dedicate their time to CVS. I know at least 12 CVS employees who work 3 other fulltime jobs.

Anyone ever realize how it's common for executive and senior leadership types to sit on the boards of multiple companies, collecting a few hundred grand at each instance, but god forbid us common wagecattle folk barely maintain a second job that pays a fraction of that?

OP is the reason I hate working in office. Nosy and obnoxious people who find the need to “tattle” like little children on sh-t that doesn’t impact them in any way. Get a friggin life, yours sounds pathetic.

They did target employees with two jobs. I had two jobs and was impacted by the layoff. I now have one job, which btw pays me more than CVS. My life got easier.

meh, one jobs or two jobs. Doesn't really matter. Some people are working from home and raising small children at the same time. If you don't take issue with that, then don't don't start it with people working additional jobs to make a living wage.

I wonder how people take call center calls and work another full time job at the same time. Some people had said it works because the other job isn’t on the phones

Its amazing how people cannot mind the business that pays them!! More power to those who can manage to work two full time jobs!!! CEO's make MILLIONS and yet here you are trying to tear down those who are probably just trying to get ahead rather that just barely making it. GET A LIFE!

Sooooo, you know at least 12 people who all work FOUR full time jobs??? They work 32 hours a day plus commutes to and from 4 full time jobs? Ummmmm....

Also, even if that were true (not possible), it has zero to do with you or with them in regards to them being laid off.

If you are saying it is not fair because they already have other jobs, there IS something you can do to fix that.

  1. Get a job (or put yourself in position to) that pays more
  2. Get a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th job yourself.
  3. Mind your own business.

You must be one of them...

Now that I am laid off from CVS, I don't mind sharing the names to HR.

How about Caremark pay their employees a salary that doesn’t force them to work two jobs just to survive?

Some of you people have your heads so far up your own a-s, it’s incredible. Your peers aren’t the problem, leadership is. But sure, keep eating the bullsh-t CVS sells you.

Or mind your damn business. Who cares what they’re doing as long as they’re getting their work done?

You should report those employees to HR. They can’t cut them if they don’t know what they’re doing. Save us all the pain of another round in October!
