Aetna, PDS, Credentialing, provider Relations and Provider Consultants are all impacted on Medicaid side. In a team meeting director says that layoffs are in progress through the next “few” weeks. That she just wanted to let everyone know. 🥹
Everyone is freaking out on the meeting.

I wouldn't believe a word that any manager stated (verbal or written). They are as much in the know as anyone else. Only the very top people doing the cuts. They keep there mouths shut, and follow an oath of secrecy with there comrades.
We just had our meeting under Cred Ops and were told all activity happened yesterday and no more would be happening. I guess it’s different for Medicaid credentialing.
Companies like CVS love to drag stuff out like this. They are sick. It keeps their workers in line and worried, and the workers start working extra hard thinking that this will save the, Even when the decision has already been made.

In Provider Relations on Medicaid side, spoke with my manager yesterday…was told we were safe. Mngr reports that a list of affected people were sent to managers last Thursday the 10th and affected employees had to be notified by COB on 8/14 unless the employee was on PTO. Keep in mind that most Medicaid contracts have regulations on how many provider relation reps an MCO must have for medical/BH/waivers etc.
