Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

I think the downtown crime that is out of control is a legitimate reason to WFH.

I know multiple people who have had their cars broken into parking in a lot in uptown Charlotte. Not everyone can afford to put their car in a gated garage. It companies are all about rto, how about moving offices into the suburbs. No one wants to go uptown anymore nor feels safe there.

the federal building in SF is in a bad part of town. the WF locations are in much better part of town and in most cases just outside bart station. For those at 420 it's just a few minutes walk from Bart, don't have to go to the tenderloin or mid market at all.

I worked at the Wachovia, Wells Fargo and Bank of America Charlotte, NC city offices for many years. On a daily basis I was confronted with panhandlers and people asking me for money. You could not stand still there in the city of Charlotte, NC without someone approaching you to beg for money. One begger told me that he was a convicted felon. He approached me for money on the sidewalk of one of the Wells Fargo Charlotte, NC city buildings. I was told by other Charlotte NC city workers that while waiting for the bus at a bus stop they had to encounter many panhandlers. The city of Charlotte, NC needs to do more about the safety of it's city workers. I was in fear each day working in the city of Charlotte, NC. Now I have a job working 100% remote and it is a great relief.

Wells Fargo buildings are nowhere near that area. Sorry if RTO cuts into your video game time, but that argument just makes you look stupid. Oh, wait…..

WFA in St. Louis is not great either, though not as bad as the Tenderloin in SF. We are just blocks away from a terrible neighborhood. An employee was robbed at gunpoint several years back. Cars have been stolen off our lots. We used to have guards at the entrance to every parking lot overseeing things. but Wells Fargo’s bean counters couldn’t wait to take that away.

I see the WF spin people are back out today. I hope they are paid well to push the company talking points.

Yes there's a spelling mistake but that doesn't detract from the message. Yes there is crime in other locations but when it's gotten so bad the government is telling it's staff it is too dangerous that should be a huge red flag.

I agree that we should as a whole be worried about the criminals Charlie and the board but it won't matter if I'm mugged, as--ulted or mu---red on my way to or from work.

The thieves we all need to be concerned with are Charlie Scharf and the BOD, not some random homeless man on the street. Charlie and the BOD are the ones who have their hands in your back pocket every day wanting to rob you of your income, your job stability, your benefits and your ethics.

All cities have bad areas. Wells Fargo buildings aren't near Tenderloin
