Pay for 8/15/23 is Posted

If you go to “myHR”, then “Pay & Time”, then “View Your Pay” on the CVS employee intranet, you can see your pay posted for 8/15/23 already. I assume it would appear as normal and anything layoff-related would appear separately?

if you’re a salaried employee, it always posts early. the pay period ended yesterday and the one that will be paid at the end of the month started today (sunday). as someone who has been laid off from other jobs, they don’t just surprise you with all of your time paid out - you actually have to sign paperwork and have a period of time to discuss with legal counsel if you choose (you have to find your own lawyer of course) before signing. it’s usually in the written separation agreement how any accrued time off will play into things.

A salaried employee is always paid on the 15th of the month, and this is for the time you worked right through the end of the day on the 15th. This money shows up early on the HR website, and it also shows up in your bank, all a few days early. That doesn’t mean you got the money already as it’s pending until the 15th. It’s ridiculous to think you can attach any meaning to this payroll item because it’s a normal process.

Guys they changed the system didn’t they? I had a 1:1 and was advised it was being changed

Lies. All of this. Nobody’s accrued time off is getting paid out in a check that happened before a notification occurs. The fact that people post sh-t like this anonymously is not unexpected but it speaks volumes about these people.

@zfm+1o5cRmLb - yes if your paycheck for 8/15 is also paying out all of your earned vacation, like poster below, then you are done.

Your 8/15 pay stub being posted has not one damn thing to do with being laid off or not. Please stop making sh-t up to sc--w with peoples heads more than the company already has!

Yes because it's not confirmed if you'll accept the severance should one be offered to you

Pay for the 15th posted on Friday last week. It's not unusual for it to post a tad early.
