Retail Stores

It seems as though all aspects of the business is being cut down. Seems like the only safe place is in a retail store. Haven’t heard anything about stores closing or turning to AR in a very long time.

  1. in 2014 a level 4 who is not here anymore stated they wanted to get down to around 200/300 COR stores instead of 2k they had using Apple as an example of effective selling with only 1-2 stores per market
  2. shortly there after the store count disappeared on the retail sales dashboard
  3. we are closing some of the “flagship” stores in places like San Francisco
  4. all level 1’s have been or will be moved to AR stores
  5. if you think retail is in anyway safe, think again. The top retail reps were making $80k-100k 5 plus years ago. Now they make under $60k and most make under $50k
  6. most stores have 10 or less employees now. I worked at one years ago that had 25. That same store has maybe 10 now

Ohio/pa just converted 6 to 7 stores to AR

Area managers now have stores 3 to 5 hours away from the group.

Every COR store in my area is now AR. So not sure what you're smoking there.

This is what I have heard. The COR stores used to have 30 days on hand worth of inventory. It has been cut to 10 DOH. We are encourage to give the customer our online store code so we get paid for the sale, but the phone will be shipped to them. This will help reduce the overhead cost. This will make retail even more obsolete.

Way too many COR retail stores and overhead cost. AT&T is not a retailer.
Reps follow their plan..lol

Let NR, Apple and AR work with customers who can't figure out how to order online.

And go to AR store is like going tio WalMart and finding a checker!”

Retail is not safe. The road map is to have 1 flagship store in each market, that’s it. All others will be AR.
