Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Keep your focus on the customer

I know that these are hard times for all, including myself, but we all need to keep our heads straight and heed to our core values. Keep your focus on the customer. They are the ones that ultimately provide us with a paycheck. If we can please our customers, we will ultimately set ourselves up for success in the long run.

I sincerely wish everyone the best over the coming weeks and hope we all come out stronger because of this.

Fu-k the customer! I'm so tired of hearing about the customer when executive leadership treats their employees like garbage!

Will HSS be affected with these layoffs?

CVS associates are always working hard to exceed our customers expectations. Poor handling of layoffs has caused low morale amongst teams. Most of us do not make millions like the ELT. We have mortgages to pay and families to take care of. Keeping employees guessing for weeks takes a toll on their physical and mental well being. This will impact our customers service ultimately. It unreasonable to expect people to not react when their livelihoods are at stake. If CVS really cares for customers, they could have considered other creative ways to reduce cost, retain workforce which can serve customers better.

The focus has not been on the customer. To Imbeciles in HR - Locking up product, allowing criminals to shoplift at will, ur--e in the carpets, cameras everywhere, numbing continuous one pharmacy call messages and an avalanche of id--tic computer messages while the computers crash has not been focused on the customer. Learn to think for yourself. Stop parroting id--ts in middle management.

I hope when HR is done with this those cronies get hit equally as hard. Most of them have zero clue about how this company is run. How hard is it to recruit and do background checks on people and then ultimately terminate them. we do not even have decent benefits as they cost a small fortune and then leave you with giant deductibles when you do have serious hospital needs.

I just walked to the nearby Walgreens, got myself a coke, a bag of cheetos, a Kitkat, one sour Skittles, and an M&M. Finished them all in 30mins. It's past 11:30 pm here in the Midwest. My body is just craving relief from all the stress from work, including this layoff that's hanging over our heads. Not a good thing to numb out with sugar for a type2 diabetic like me. Prayers for everyone. Be tender to yourself. You are the primary costumer after all!

Agree 110%. I’ll gladly be laid off as long as the customer is taken care of. As my children and I sleep on the streets because I couldn’t pay the mortgage, at least I’ll know the customer was ok after all this.

I always put the customer first even when I am feeling anxious but it kind of hard to Focus with fear of losing my Job
I don’t think I need a lecture I stayed an hour later to help a customer. Try to understand the
fear of losing your job is a big life altering stressor right up there with Divorce invalidating our feelings doesn’t help.
Thank you

Anyone else getting a little tired of HR coming in here and posting obvious propaganda?

How about you instead spend the time leaking us some information that we can use to prepare for the next step in our lives? Stop keeping us in the dark!
