Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

First citizens Bank is hiring

They just got done purchasing two other Banks laying off all of the employees from svb and they're trying to bring good people on board one of the benefits of working for them is remote they're pushing it they're wanting people to have it so if you like remote work put your hat in the ring after all what they're dealing with you probably already dealt with here at Wells Fargo so who better to solve the problems for them then those who lived through it.... It's important for people to be happy when you're happy your work is a lot better if you choose to stay and be unhappy then that is a choice you make personally what is undeniable is Wells Fargo's corporate infrastructure around its perception and mentality internally is not going to change so maybe it's time for all of you who read this to find your own happiness and look elsewhere. You can suffer trying to be the hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain and either way there is no winner

They kept some of the SVB people, not all. I know b/c my former manager was hired by SVB about a year before it collapsed, was kept for a brief time at First Citizens until they realized they couldn’t pay her salary (too high), so they offered her a lesser role with lower salary, she declined and was let go. Not sure how people say they have plenty of remote jobs, not true, as remote roles are the minority there.

Banking is not a great industry to get a job in right now. Whatever your role is at Wells Fargo today, you would be well served to look for a similar job in a different industry entirely.

Those who leave WFC, always want to come back.

Yeah, nice try, they didn’t lay off all the SVB people. They are hiring though, and they have deep pockets and remote work. Good luck!

Me: I love Wells Fargo - it’s the best. I will not be exploring opportunities through first city bank.

You: it’s called First Citiz….

Me: IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT IT’S NAME IS!!!!!!

First Citizens Bank, good luck getting that bonus promised. The little banks are going to merge fest very soon.

They don’t pay anything close to WF. I interviewed there about a year ago. SVP/Dir. role about $150K max. Hybrid role. Don’t know about any issues, but most banks have issues :)

I hear First Citizens Bank is no better than Wells Fargo. I have some friends working there, but they are not happy.

First Citizens Bank is hybrid at best.

Nice try, Charlie.

They “just got done” laying off the employees of SVB so now they can hire you!

Sounds like quite the sales pitch. Gee, let me go apply right way! I can’t get to their site fast enough! 🙄
