I hope you're not in investigations. I'm the O MFing G ellipse guy, and this is my first post in this thread.
@kls+1o0a8wj4 here.
Sorry, I thought we had escaped . I know it was a close call for many of us at CLT. Ditto in DSM. Phoenix is cool for a change. I think the total damage in a Deptt of 450+ was only 10 or so. Not bad given how much anticipation was there for 8/8.
"tech control"? Is that an oxymoron? Since when does technology own any controls?
Tech Control is not intact, multiple people can confirm that as of yesterday. TC just got hit about 3 months ago too.
Maybe we should stop telling the business that they own their risk and if they say “it doesn’t apply” then it doesn’t apply. I mean what business is going to tell you “well our RMs use WhatsApp and probably shouldn’t.” Or “we have a risk of the software tech actually processing deposits accurately for our customers.” Or “our bonus structure pays for internal referrals so that could mean that unnecessary referrals actually occur….” Obviously the businesses don’t know enough about risk or care enough about risk to actually raise their hands and self identify anything. Risk isn’t the problem here - lazy business leaders are and the problems will continue until everyone actually performs their “risk overlay.”
Tech control intact
Risk roles being sent to India are centered on first line because they are the easiest to outsource and the most labor intensive.
Where in Risk? Risk has many different departments.
Ellipses guy going hard today pretending these posts are all from different people
@ajx+1o0a8wj4 Charlie’s crime is giving corporate risk an open checkbook

"Corporate risk have used the threat of consent orders and asset cap to create empires. They have no incentive to stop the asset cap gravy train."
CS came in as CEO with one job: Get the company out from under all the consent orders. It's been over 4 years now and we're seeing things actually getting worse, not better. More and worse scandals, more deposit failures where customer deposits don't show up in their accounts, more fines for violating federal laws.
If CS did nothing to resolve consent orders and let lines of business run away creating empires of their own, that is squarely on the CS's shoulders. It's time for his termination.
Phone calls from their manager who is taking personal email address for package documents and shipping box for laptops, etc.
Corporate risk have used the threat of consent orders and asset cap to create empires. They have no incentive to stop the asset cap gravy train.
How are people getting notified?
Imagine laying off risk teams before getting the asset cap lifted lmao
