Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Isn’t it ironic….

That Wells Fargo gets caught conducting fake interviews of diverse candidates, a class action lawsuit is filed against us for denying mortgage loans to non-white applicants, and our BOD gets sued for ignoring pervasive issues of discrimination; and then we announce a $1 billion partnership with T.D. Jakes to increase the "economic vitality and inclusivity" of underserved communities across America??? 😏

It’s easy to be virtuous with other people’s money.

Almost as much as the Townhall statement last week that we need to increase fee based revenue. Quite unsettling when you consider the stated target market… I smell more bad press & discriminate practices

It makes sense if you accept that they're trying to use marketing to make the company successful instead of improving the business.

Let’s not forget our $50 million grant to support the NAACP.

Wells does this every time they discriminate. Nothing new to see here

Being “Woke” is the fashionable thing to do at Hudson Yards this year. It’s the equivalent of wearing Taylor Swift Eras Tour friendship bracelets (Google it if you don’t know) without ever being a fan or listening to any of her songs. It’s just trendy. Every step forward they make towards equity and inclusion drips with disingenuous disengagement. It’s optics. When it’s I longer convenient or in vogue it will be in a dumpster.
