Thanks for the advice Stanky. Instead join local organizations that match your skills. Network with people who work at companies that are stable or growing. Leave ATTs sinking ship. No need to go down with the ship.

This is strange. Is RTO is about socializing in the office or we suppose to work? So if I see people walking around and talking, having lunches together and laughing all day that is expected. Anyway I’m introvert and son’t like it.

This is my second day in the office and I am loving it. I plan to go to lunch with a different person all week.

OP has a point. Except most people I see sitting in the office at their desks look like they are busy and don’t want to talk.

It helps when you are actually sitting near people you work with which sadly I am not. Also hard with the daily musical desks to keep that relationship.

Most of us are overworked as it is, picking up slack and multiple projects from other who have been laid off.

Now more time is wasted commuting for no good reason so there is even more pressure to get the work done daily. Those of us in this position don't have time to BS and "collaborate" in the office. Head down, working...

The only good from collaboration at this point would be to build your network so you can have more luck finding another job once T uses you up and kicks you out the door. So, I guess there is that.
