RTO is a losing proposition when you consider the cost of fuel, parking, lunch car wear and tear and daycare costs!!

Day three of living my destination. There’s no TP so I just left the floater there unflushed and walked to Starbucks.
@1vvm+1nyOq0xL Actually almost 40% of those affected by RTO were never in office workers. I have worked for AT&T for 12 years, never worked a single day from an office. and now i have to drive over 2 hours each way to get to an office.
MANY MANY MANY AT&T Employees never had any of those expenses, and now we do.
You should refuse to return to the office. That will teach them.
Here is a cool concept. Pack and take a lunch.
Being alive is a losing proposition when you consider the cost of housing, food, clothing, shelter, etc.
Calls with people in the office are counter productive. How is one suppose to hear their call through headphones. When both ends are being drown out by the “frat house” we now call the office. Those of you drinking the “kool-aid” are the real thieves. Working in the office is fine, don’t look to others to do your job. None of us need a desk ornament.
You had all this cost pre virus. What is the point?
I find it amazing that you don’t have to eat lunch when you work from home. But now that you’re in an office you do. Lunch. What a strange new cost.
No daycare when wfh? That’s absurd trying to work and care for small kids. Surely many people do abuse wfh privileges, but that could be rectified with stronger leadership and supervisory skills. That’s something T hasn’t had and apparently never will.
boo hoo, most folks drove to work at at&t 5 days a week pre pandemic, we also paid for child care when our kids were young. when I go in, it's 100 miles a day(round trip). yeah, wfh was nice, saved on gas & car maint, but 3-5 days a week, is still better than 5, sometimes 4 days going in. Unless yuou were hired straight out of school during the pandemic, you're well aware of this, su-k it up and rto.
Your continued employment at T is going to be a losing proposition.
Plenty of companies hiring for wfh jobs.
DART takes twice as long to drive in from the suburbs and even costs just as much in gas. Moreover there is no parking at the DART lot and seats are crowded with thugs.
I’m going to miss the Bloody Mary’s in the mornings and afternoons Margaritas!
Its hilarious how you grown ups are crying about reporting in an office to work. Welcome to the real world. WFH was a blessing now its over get tye f over it or quit like att wants you to. Att doesnt need 50% of you all at best!
Bidenomics makes this a $75 trip to work each day.
“ Yep. I did some calculations today. Probably be out another $10,000 year over year when you add up parking, fuel, wear and tear and extra food costs in a downtown office district.”
You are ahead of the game on being unemployed. 10k a year! You saved 10k a year in WFH (3 years= 30k) now you can use that extra cash to subsidize your severance!!
T needs to thin out the “queen bees”, promoting on anything short of merit has only hurt the company.
There is going to be a lot less posting here after RTO.
Yep. I did some calculations today. Probably be out another $10,000 year over year when you add up parking, fuel, wear and tear and extra food costs in a downtown office district.
Also, RTO means actually having to work. Not just sleeping in and doing personal business.
T will only be left with the highly intelligent pro-RTO posters we see on all these posts...real winners
I'm going to fill a different cube with Golden Retriever and Akita hair everyday
You mean having a regular job like literally everyone else?
JFC you people are the most entitled, whiny bunch of spoiled brats I’ve ever seen.
Maybe spend some volunteering or looking into what people with real problems are having to go through. Then maybe you won’t be so GD exhausting.
If you no longer want to work, leave. Preferably now.
the evil f ckers want us to quit
On a manager’s salary? You are already overpaid and you know it. Stop crying over being expected to actually work.
Stankey is going to turn AT&T into another Lordstown Ohio!!
Oh don’t forget…. relocate at your own expense, buy a new house at an inflated value at a higher interest rate. To try to get a parking spot and fight for a desk in an over crowded office. Remaining at Toxic “T” is a losing proposition at this point for many.
disruption they are creating to make you quit.
