Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Office

I personally love being back in the office in Atlanta. Lovely offices and clean restrooms. The real plus is not having to use all my utilities at home.

What OP said is bogus, unless you lived near your RTO office. Some people from the Chicago market have to move to Atlanta. THEY certainly are not happy about either leaving their family and commuting 5-days or moving everyone there. Sure it's a job and you have responsibilities to the company, but none of their team members are in that location, especially when the off-shore contracted companies are their "team" members. Again, bogus.

I love being in the office.

I place a little fan under my desk to share my essence with everyone after eating chili.

OP must be part of the HR team monitoring this site for the executives. Wonder if they will be signing the same tune once the HR team is outsourced.

Im in the office 5 days a week. God I wish it was 3. That would be amazing. I guess it’s all relative to what your used too.

It is awesome. I do like three courtesy flushes. I don't do any at home.

Wait? You guys get lunch?

Yeah no. As I sat there today in Lenox mind you with equipment that didn’t work and parking was terrible, I even got in early. I was lucky I reserved a spot and had a desk and chair at least. Yes seeing some people I knew was great. However, after my marathon of teleconference teams calls, I had collaborated with no one, didn’t get lunch and was starving. Only bright spot was the couple cookies they had for us in the break room. No, this is not better.

I didn't realize how much I had missed being in the office. And we still get 2 days at home. More than reasonable. We're back!!!

Not interested in socializing with coworkers. I have friends outside of the office. I just want to get my work done without disruptions and that’s not happening going into the office. I refuse to work overtime when I can get my job done at home.

I love going into my run down office, no soap or paper towels in the restroom, broken chairs and desks…. Yeah! Sofa King great 👍🏻

I 100% agree with you. I stated back in Dallas about 4 weeks ago and being downtown and having co-workers to lunch with is a real lift to my spirits. COVID is over and people should get OUT of their homes and earn their income again. I get to the office, check in with team....have a good lunch at a local establishment...take a walk around downtown...finish my day...and go to a gym close by before heading to the bar to find a score for the evening. Its living.

Right, so the cost to get to the office for you must be $0 in order to make you so happy about not using your own utilities. If you drive or take the train I find it hard to believe this is less expensive than your utilities... E

I smell either 1) a staffer for a 4th or 5th level manager or 2) a contract social media narrative shill. Either way, you su-k, OP.
