Seems like a lot of layers -VPS, AVPs, Directors, Sales Managers, Strategic Account Leads, Client Solution Executives, Account Managers...the list is endless in the organization, and as most of this side of the house is legacy SBC, and T I imagine that the salaries and pensions are on the higher end of the pay scale

The same copper that we’re still turning up new T1s & Ds0s in every day…?…
W+f are you talking about. Wireline has been hit harder than anyone already. Down at least 10% of headcount. Maybe 15%
It’s going to take years before fiber is “established”.
As soon as copper lines are gone? Still have people on traditional dsl. This company can’t get out of its own way. They will drag their feet and be sold at a ridiculously low cost. The techs and their support will be the last to go. Eventually moving to the new company. Think Google.
Engineering administrators will be surplussed in the West.
There are very few offices servicing Wireline and tons of service orders and work so Thats not the organization needing downsizing. Noone is left. They need to continue reducing management. There are so many offices with small group of employees with 3 or more managers micromanaging. Working from home proved managers arent needed. If anything only one manager needs to he there not 3 or 4 and why do they still have 2nd line managers. They need to go also.
Mid Markets /Mobility seems to have been affected recently but haven’t seen much on the Enterprise side. Makes me think they are next up to bat.
Very soon, once fiber is established and copper lines are replaced by fiber. Expect hundreds of thousands of not needed field techs.
If there is any org that needs to be down sized, it’s wireline.
