Anonymous AI Sensors Monitoring Behavior

Get ready …. Just read on SP they are also using “anonymous sensors” (not kidding) to look at the ‘behavior of employees in the office’…
Things like :
“Engagement through posture- is this area used for heads down work or interaction “
“Interactions and Connection- how are people interacting in the office and how meaningful are those interactions “

Says these sensors are currently “live” in some places and in-progress in others…

Look under SP/Workplace/Workplace Intelligence Utilization Strategy…

"This is not the way to go about being profitable or increasing stock value or creating customer loyalty. So many paths you could have chosen to resolve the company major debt. "

Nothing AT&T executives do results in profitability, increasing stock value or customer loyalty. And it has been that way for years. And now the piece de resistance is the forced move RTO that will be the final blow. Say good night Ma Bell.

“ I'd say you are a mo--n, but that is a medical term that has fallen out of favor. You are certainly a d-mb, Ill educated individual.”

…I guess some people don’t like facts? This information is literally posted on SharePoint. Of course, believing something else is everyone’s option. And no one needs to worry - T promises it is anonymous! Who believes that?

sort of explains why they want people in the office doesn't it.

they invested in this nonsense so now they need some return on that investment.

This is correct. The technology surveillance board has been engaged in this project way before it was announced to the board.

The cameras in the bathroom are the worst. Am I supposed to collaborate there too?

If the investment is tied directly to cost reduction or force reduction, then T will spend the money (AI), which is why wifi, toilet paper and copy machines are far down the list folks. Open your eyes.

@1ero - believe what you want. We do live in the world of increasing AI … and of course the company will spend liberally on policing employee behavior and ensuring we are all using ‘preferred pronouns’ and hiding our job titles. I don’t find it hard to believe at all -
Especially when it’s spelled out on the Intranet.

AI and AT&T seems dubious at best. AT&T can't even get WiFi working with any reliability at most locations. Let me guess, AT&T is going to place AI enabled cameras when AT&T can't even pay for the fire detection systems are constantly in failure/alarm? Budget? I think not. Let me guess, the remnants of Digital Life will be your overlords? Some of you live in a fantasy that is far removed from the reality that is AT&T. AT&T is broke. AT&T can't even fix the systems that matter. AI monitoring.. You guys will fall for anything.

I know if we are monitored for productivity my work ethic and productivity will no doubt go up thus my income and bonus payouts. I welcome these sensors to weed out the daily disruptions from my go workers. The last thing I want to hear about on Monday morning is my managers hard on for what his fan boy football team did the day before.

“ It sounds like these sensors are a great idea and help create a more productive workspace !“

To the poor demented soul that does this radical “towing the company line” thing in every single post…what the actual ph-k is the matter with you? It’s so strange that this is how you get your jollies. One can only wonder what else goes on on your nasty little life.

To the disillusioned , pompous, and/or spiteful downvoters… it’s not just the fact there are ‘cameras’… many workplaces have camera monitoring for safety or responsibility reasons.
The more disturbing thing in this case is they specifically point out they are monitoring your ‘behavior’ to see if your interactions are ‘meaningful’. If this doesn’t bother you in the workplace, then I guess you’ve taken the Blue pill ….. Or perhaps you think the woke army will rule forever? Allowing these mega companies to peel away every bit of privacy and freedom will come around to burn everyone, woke or not.

These are necessary since everyone has complained that returning to the office will result in less productivity and wasting more time socializing with others. It sounds like these sensors are a great idea and help create a more productive workspace !

Collecting this data on employees all in the name of space environmental impact and utilization and collaboration behaviors leads me to believe that they think we are stupid, dishonest, lazy slobs. Everyone I know and have worked with over the years are honest hard working giving 100% employees. This company has crossed a line. This smacks of a totalitarian regime. Thank God we still have Constitution and freedom of speech still exist. Thank God for the spiritual principle “you reap what you sow” This is not the way to go about being profitable or increasing stock value or creating customer loyalty. So many paths you could have chosen to resolve the company major debt. To all the hardworking employees, Keep doing a good job, keep giving 100%. Then let the chips fall where they may….
