Why are they closing Fremont Building?

I don't understand the real reason for closing the Fremont building. Just because of the prediction that real estate prices are going down or probable recession soon?

looks like consolidating teams, they may even ask you to move to different location or different team or different city, or state or finally let go.

What reason to keep it? Why that one over another location? Offices will be consolidated across the entire footprint, not everyone will be happy.

Probably not enough attendance and they can fold it into San Leandro which just went through a refresh over the pandemic
