Curious if anyone has heard anything about Humana and UHC merging/getting bought out? I heard thru the grapevine the DOJ shot it down, but can’t find anything. Makes me wonder what’s going on since we haven’t been told about this. Only thing I can find is from 5 days ago that the 2 are merging in a 5.5 million dollar deal.

Incorrect information. And I work for UHC.
The AETNA merger was going to cost 35 BILLION. 5.5 Billion wouldn't even open the doors. Also as the last posts stated, a merger amongst the top 5 would be considered noncompetitive for customers.
Very old information. No way that any government agency would allow any of the top 5 managed care companies to merge.
