Ransomware attack?

I am hearing that Fiserv has had a ransomware attack via Moveit. Can anyone confirm?

There was an attack. If they got anything I do not know.

Yeah there was no ransomware breach where Fiserv lost control over systems. The 3rd party software had a series of vulnerabilities and these were mitigated by them and patched on ourside.

If they want Frank and his cronies can we all agree to offer them up? Maybe even throw in some cash to seal the deal.

There was a significant vulnerability exposed within MoveIt, which caused Fiserv to implement an updated version of MoveIt which resolved the vulnerability. I don’t believe the ransomware attack hit Fiserv, but I know that another vendor who shares some of our clients had data exposed. This past week they notified their customers of the breach.

Fiserv had a great Malware forensics group - which is all gone now. Left through keeping touch on Linkedin platform for new jobs. Not fired, but by choice. Probable of huge help if a ransomware attack occurred.
