Hearing hubs are getting one single screen instead of the dual monitors? Who’s the id--t that thought of this!

VDI, what's the point when Chuckie and the boys plan is to handcuff everyone to their office desktop 5 days a week? I sure AF am not working from home or anywhere else as they ratchet up RTO. F those HYMFs.
Not true KOP standard for all LOB is minimum 2 monitors.
And here they are telling us to keep our monitors and keyboards when we canned tomorrow.
For Windows, [Start] key + arrow keys will help you snap a window to the side of your monitor.
I have a huge monitor at home and it's incredibly efficient, + no more neck swiveling to look at two screens.
A couple of notes for this thread.
- a 32" ultra-wide monitor is the equivalent of two 17-inch monitors. Look up the dimensions.
- a 42" 4k TV can be the equivalent of 4 20" HD monitors if you use windows' natural snap-to feature in the corners.
Wells could easily replace their dual monitor setups with a single 42" 4k TV at near the same price and give their users a major productivity upgrade (think what you can do with 4 HD windows visible, 4 full-screen apps at a time, 8 half-screen apps, etc.)
But no, Wells does the stupid and gives us a cr-ppy, single mid-size monitor instead. Trap everyone in the he-l of "not big enough to be multiple monitors, not small or cheap enough to be part of a multi-monitor setup.

I'm only as productive as the bank allows. This covers everything from bad/limited tech to toxicity in the culture.
Totally ok with one screen.

It's due to failed VDI. Rather than fix or ditch VDI, they consolidated monitors.
You can get the equivalent of two screens side by side on the one monitor. It might be four. But it's a pain. You have to drag your mouse to the far right to create the second screen, and it seems to disappear quickly. Not sure; I've only been in once since it happened, and I won't be back until next week. The new monitor is cool looking, but I liked the two monitors. Not to mention that you could move the old monitors closer to you, which is helpful for someone whose reading vision isn't the best (as is likely the case for many).
Probably a genius Tracy decision. Little money left after the shareholder payouts and fines to give us equipment that makes us more productive. Probably won't be a problem in India.
What size? I work on a 34 inch curved ultra wide when I’m at home and love it. Also have a 27 inch on the side along with my laptop screen but I’d rather have a 34 inch wide than 2 24 inch monitors.
It depends on the resolution and monitor size, but I am sure it’s some bean counter that came up with it.
It is easier to keep track of deposits on one screen ;)
When you can't fix, or master the code, change the requirements. This place is failing.
It probably does reduce the amount of headaches related to VDI attached devices.
Sounds like beatching just to beatch because something is different. If you don't lose any appreciable real estate then there is no change.
We are better together, including our monitors.
For VDI, yes, it is a curved screen.
