I’ve been reading these messages and panicking for about a month now… cvs is only one corporation in the United States. When you sign and employment contract it doesn’t guarantee a job for the rest of your life. This is a very hard time economically and also this pre-warning from Karen has made everyone scared. If we can look at this from the perspective that she didn’t have to give any notice at all, it might be helpful. She did though so instead of living in fear, prepare as best as you can for your family and your individual needs. I’m in the same boat as everyone else on this thread but is it really the end of the world that we were warned? Also, do you all really want to work for a company that wants to replace people with AI?

Amazing to see comments here political in nature. The likes of Karen, the Corporate Elite, and the corrupt politicians want us all to argue against each other and not hold them all accountable in a united front. All falling for it...hook, line, sinker.

If you're gonna make comments about the economy.... do your research. The economy is doing better than it has in years and better than when trump was in office. Facts. Look it up.

I don't see any panic here at all. Employees asking questions about what happens, etc, is information gathering, not panic. Job loss is one of the most stressful events in a humans life, so please don't discount the importance of this to us regular working class people who have kids to feed

Yeah, the OP is pollyannaish -- to a fault. Karen HAD to give notice to stem the tide of demoralizing backlash and rampant attrition of key employees they need to keep in the company. The last thing you want is for employees to think they can be dropped without ANY kind of notice whatsoever whether vague or specific. Predictability of continued employment allows individuals to actualize his or her professional and personal goals. It's hard to plan a family or further education when one believes they won't have a job by the same time next year.
Fact: Health psychology tells us that job loss, death of a spouse, and divorce are among greatest stressors one can experience in his or life. Let's not minimize the extent or gravity of what is poised to happen within the coming weeks.
At least you get a 2 weeks severance. Ashleigh Anderson a pharmacist in Indiana died because her district leader refused to let her go to the hospital until a replacement pharmacist could cover for her. She died of cardiac arrest in the pharmacy.
She did so to appease shareholders due to 2nd qtr earnings. It was a calculated move. The economy is failing due to the Biden administration. Wake up.
