I am suprised not a single person on my team has asked me why I am allowed to be remote while they are being actively tallied for weekly office visits.
If asked, answers would be all maybes:
- I'm special
- I'm a cockroach (HR probably wouldn't know the difference anyways)
- Current state of residence has a nice cushy protective shell made of employment laws
- My overall compensation/value is not hitting the books hard enough
- Manager has secretly signed a no-trade clause on my behalf
- WF has a history of being unable to effectively commit, communicate and deliver on anything. Location strategy is apparently a strategy involving nonstrategic methods (similar to WF's interpretation of Agile)
Thank you for your time.
