Skype getting more of a send-off then well respected colleagues

Several talented colleagues of mine were laid off last week and I only figured it out when I saw they had been zz’d. I know some might see this as a stretch but I find it ironic that we are being told to say goodbye to Skype but no attention is paid our actual friends and colleagues.

Yes. Every "upgrade" that's happened in the last 5 years has been a downgrade and ya can't put lipstick on that pig.

If what we were going to was actually better (Teams) there wouldn't have to be such a push to get us off of what we were currently using. Seems like this is happening more and more at Wells. I can remember a time when there were changes that people were actually excited for and willingly did. Now every change has to become a mandate (RTO included) because whatever is being replaced is preferable to what it's being replaced with.

And Teams itself isn't bad. It's the WF version of Teams that is bad. (Remove everything useful from a tool before making people use it.)

I liked Skype more than most colleagues!

All I can think about when I see the word 'Skype' is the awful looking lady with the thick rimmed glasses. She looks like something you'd see in a nightmare.

Too bad, because I much preferred Skype over teams. Guess I'm over that now. Maybe that was the point of using the crypt keeper for the send-off photo.

Heck no! If I got laid off I don’t want my names listed on Teamwork or a send off. Skype is being used by the entire company and it’s a reminder. Must you whine about everything?

This is such an excellent point! Expressions of empathy for a d@mn tool and nothing but psychopathy in the approach to human capital!

And that pic of the girl in oversized glasses with yellow teeth! Drives me crazy seeing her on the banner of Teamworks.

Skype is wonderful. Teams is awful. Of course we are forced to use Teams. At least you can set your status to appear in meetings for a whole day

Wells Fargo management doesn't care about humans.... all they care about is how they can sc--w employees. Thats where the specialized operations excel.

WF is comparable to a low budget movie set where only the face of buildings are created. Behind the face is mishmash of rotting 2x4s holding it up.

Absolutely a total joke is Teamworks (will it be renamed to EmployeeWorks?), a gigantic garbage pile of billboards that presents itself as a cohesive wonderful company.
