Stinky Stankey and all of his direct reports :)
Several of the redundant levels of VP's.
Did you just crawl out from under a rock? The majority of IT is already outsourced and has been for quite some time. Also, It is not working out so well is it?. Can you say IBM, Amdocs, Tech Mahindra etc...The future is to just hire AT&T IT employees in India.
"IT and all internal software management. It can be outsourced much cheaper and the quality won’t be any different"
better get the termination pay before the contract runs out. the union will probably negotiate it away like they did the pension amount 25 years ago.
Folks should be required to take a test to see if they know anything about our services offered and how they work. If you don't know, you're out!
- E. I. and any one or any department associated with D.E.I. needs to go.
Those jobs do nothing for customer service or product/process improvement.
The people in those jobs only talent in life are the boxes they can check to fill a quot@.
I can imagine an organization that looks for process redundancy is redundant.
Although I'm happy with my craft job, after 38 years I'm ready to retire so I think I'd like to be laid off in the next year to get the nice termination package per union contract, which for me will be 2 years pay. Sweet way to end a career: 2 year paid vacation and then collecting my pension, 401K and social security for my remaining trips around the sun. Yeah America is great. Peace out.
Merge and purge top heavy Compliance into HR. Too many low/no direct reports.
We are getting rid of workers we do not need. Right sizing the company.
We definitely don't want to get rid of payroll. I want to get paid.
The payroll department is redundant, they continue to send out checks every 2 weeks like clockwork.

After cutting management at the top we need to finish selling off the renaining 70% of DTV.
Then get rid of customer loyalty groups because most of what they do is billing. That can be done by literally everyone else. Most ppl aren't stopped from leaving by a $10 saving. They are saved by tech support fixing their issue(that they themselves most likely caused) or by a rep that is based in a country that speaks their native language.
Most people set up autopay and don't think about how much their services cost as long as it works.
Get rid of in home experts. They have such high turnover and create such horrible cust experiences due to lack of accountability it's creating a very bad image.
"So let me ask you this: why would you want to see your fellow employees shown the door?"
It's literally just business man. If the company doesn't survive then NONE of us have jobs.
Unfortunately, that means making some cuts. It is what it is.
The company needs to be profitable, at a maximum level, to stay around.
It's not saying "I want to see people lose jobs" it's saying I want the company to do what's best for the bottom line.
Deadweight must be cut. Outdated systems must be removed. Unprofitable departments should be slashed.
We need to focus on what makes us money, not what keeps the most people employed.
C suite.
So let me ask you this: why would you want to see your fellow employees shown the door? Do you think throwing people under the bus is going to save you or your job? There are lots of people that I wonder what they actually do here, but you know what, maybe they are good at their jobs and knock it out in a couple hours what it takes others all day to do. Maybe they have to work nights and weekends that you don’t know about. You just don’t know.
