Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Let's see if Stanks thoughts on the age of his workforce makes the official recorded replay.

Guarantee you someone in legal sh-t themselves as he was waxing poetic on the need for a younger workforce when talking about layoffs.

To those of you ninny's just dismissing this....IT'S ILLEGAL.

You can think this, you can plan it covertly.

You cannot shout it from the rooftop as a CEO.

What a maroon.

They won’t edit it.
It will draw
More attention as some were smart enough to record on their
Own.
They’ll have to offer the replay unedited.

if he said something racially offensive it would be on every tweet, news headline, the view, and cancel culture would be in full motion. a statement about older people to help encourage layoffs, shaft employees, and please investors - well i guess that's ok when it comes to corporate america and nothing will happen to him. it's amazing how he gets rewarded for his arrogance.

They might as well post it as there are multiple recordings of the entire thing.

The attorneys are already extracting his foot from his mouth.

I'm pretty sure we will never see a re-broadcast of his discriminating statements and blatant desire to discriminate.

“ Why wouldn’t it be included. It was a factual statement”

I have 25 years in corporate America and have heard some d-mb stuff but whoo boy. For a CEO of a Fortune 100 company to say that the company needs to get younger openly with layoffs and location closures happening in real time is something else.

Years back, I worked at another Fortune 500 company with a highly and deservedly respected CEO and he would NEVER open his mouth in a public forum without being extremely careful with every word. Even his speech pattern was slow and deliberate. You knew he was thinking about everything he said given the potential ramifications.

These guys at AT&T shoot from the hip and it shows.

Because, Einstein…the guy is CEO of a company laying thousands off and stating publicly that his aging workforce is undesirable. Perhaps your punk a$& happens to agree. You’re not the CEO stating such in a public forum. Aged workers are a protected class. Educate yourself so that you don’t sound so dim witted.

"A drunk mind speaks a sober heart."

I mean, it was post-lunch and I did have to look up at the screen a couple of times when I heard a little slur.

What I find funny is the group of people I know that are getting laid off are all under 35.

Are you surprised?? His contribution to the debt we own today cannot be measured. It’s all a smoke screen off course and BlackRock is running the show.

darn it, i was going to resign but i think i might stick around for this class action age discrimination lawsuit. anybody know how what are the possible outcomes?

  1. They don't force relocation?
  2. If you are surplussed a year from now with severance, can you still get paid out from the lawsuit?

Or how quickly could a settlement be? Do you still keep your job if you do get a settlement? Are we talking months or years?

Right? The audacity of leadership to flat-out say it out loud, means he really wants it to happen and believes in it. No mincing of words, no hiding behind others. You know what they say, "A drunk mind speaks a sober heart."
