A much much bigger-than-normal layoff. Don't know which day.

Hiring freeze? Tech just vrought in 250 new program analysts
@1ibd+1nFh3qmy
There are a tone of hiring freezes right now. The exceptions are client facing people.
I’m not in a hub but we have various employees working out of a few buildings. Now all buildings are being consolidated into one. I checked the open postings for the entire state and there are only posts for branch positions. First time I’ve ever noticed this. Seems like the writing’s on the wall. Hopefully others here are paying attention and are bracing themselves.
I believe a new McFlurry announcement is coming from McDonald's. Stay tuned. My tummy is rumbling.
Pick me, pick me!!!!
almost all layoffs have come with a 60day non worming period. you are technically still employed, and they can call you in if they want, but that meets the requirement. at day 61 your layoff commences and your severance kicks in
Iowa WARN requires reporting 60 days before termination. WF gives 60 day’s notice before you are actually terminated. So that is why WF layoffs show up the way they do. There’s nothing fishy about it.
@1rwe+1nFh3qmy - I've looked at the WARN for Iowa and it seems WF notifies the day of the layoff or day after. Not sure how they get away w/ that...unless they are okay paying whatever fines they get hit with? Look at the 5/15 date. The layoff date is 5/15 and notice date is 5/16.
Just more sketchy WF bs imo
Isn't WARN act applicable when cutting 50 people or more?
They can just cut 49
If you want to see if there are layoffs in your state all you have to do is Google WARN Act and your state.
Charlie will continue to keep swinging his ax until everything is in India

HR isn’t firing or laying off anyone. They don’t make the decisions. The business does that. HR just processes the transactions your and my managers tell them to.
The moment CS became CEO, I warned colleagues that he would intentionally drive WF into the ground, shutting down and selling off WF businesses, and conveniently removing a competitor of his mentor's company. All while lining his pockets and those of the cronies he brought in -- vultures feasting on a carcass.
No one believed me.
And, yet, here we are.
It's not fear of lawsuits, it's a combination of there being a limit as to how many people HR has the capacity to offboard per cycle and also the limit of how many they can fire per location without triggering a WARN reporting requirement.
We will replace Charlie with a team of Indian consultant
Everyone goes, the only question is when. All the doubters here are ridiculous. They are literally firing people as fast as they possibly can without getting sued into oblivion, and every thread on the topic they drop in to say "nothing is happening". 😐
Nobody knows cr-p
"Rumblings"... sounds like a legit source.
