If their end game is getting people to leave to avoid severance, this is going to end very very badly for them. My area has lost 25% staff in the last two months, all voluntary and for the most part high performers. They have no hope of backfilling those roles and training people, their only choice is to minimize how many projects they can schedule to fit the staff. And I'm not sure they'll do that.
The bottom line for this group of "leaders" (I use that term very loosely) is that they only think quarter by quarter and have no long term plan for growth or strategic initiatives, outside of blowing money on buildings for tax write-offs. First Data got away with this model because Fiserv picked them up for pennies on the dollar off the scrap heap. I doubt there is anyone big enough to buy Fiserv out now. They'll end up selling off BU's to stay afloat, and eventually may still even fail despite doing that. It's a 100% pure unadulterated shitshow.
Perfectly said. OP is @1zjr+1mKgmcp2.
