Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

More people jumping ship

Acknowledge that Fiserv making decisions that are shaking the tree of dead leaves. I feel there are too many changes happening too quickly. Leadership must see something that us lower peons don't. It would really be good to know what they see coming down the pipe for this company

Dead leaves and the dirty ground when you see frank around
Faux smiles and lies for miles when you hear franks lips make a sound
Thirty notes in the inbox will force you into a cube box
And i think franks gonna stick around
For awhile and collect that dough
For awhile and collect that dough

Clover will die and/or be acquired by another POS company. Quite truthfully I don’t know how they’re ever selected, given the horrible engineering and design.

You either jump ship now or walk the plank later.

Did you ever wonder why HR stands for human resources? You are just resource to be exploited by the company to earn more money than they will pay you. Nothing more, nothing less. If ChatGPT can do you work they will always swith to AI if it will cost less money.

If their end game is getting people to leave to avoid severance, this is going to end very very badly for them. My area has lost 25% staff in the last two months, all voluntary and for the most part high performers. They have no hope of backfilling those roles and training people, their only choice is to minimize how many projects they can schedule to fit the staff. And I'm not sure they'll do that.

The bottom line for this group of "leaders" (I use that term very loosely) is that they only think quarter by quarter and have no long term plan for growth or strategic initiatives, outside of blowing money on buildings for tax write-offs. First Data got away with this model because Fiserv picked them up for pennies on the dollar off the scrap heap. I doubt there is anyone big enough to buy Fiserv out now. They'll end up selling off BU's to stay afloat, and eventually may still even fail despite doing that. It's a 100% pure unadulterated shitshow.

I agree, egoistic management. It’s all cr-p from management to services to products. A nightmare to be around and on top of that, go to office unnecessarily. Worst Fintech.

First Data…I mean Fiserv, are not making decisions based on any coherent strategy. Your definition of shaking off the dead leaves is somewhat accurate, because the tree is dying. The decisions made recently and more this week are based one thing and one thing only, ego.
