Wells Fargo - Enterprise Risk Layoffs

Layoffs happened today in Enterprise risk. Wasn't surprised, the last three months I have been writing up procedures on what I do and training staff in India.

Everyone should refuse to train these Indians. Or tell them the wrong sh&t. If Charlie is giving our jobs away let them figure it out.

For Corp Risk I heard it’s admins. But I know others outside of CR have been impacted today too.

So people should be displaced because YOU can’t take the time to understand the lines of defense?!? Completely callous and ignorant! People lost their jobs and potentially their livelihood.

You ask a question (which is fine, we can educate you) and follow it up with a statement that’s clearly based on the fact that you’re uneducated.

Try reading the company risk framework, section 4.2.

Pro tip for YOU: that section immediately follows section 4.1

How is Enterprise Risk different from Corporate Risk?
I didn’t know we had an Enterprise risk also. Seems like they should be laid off.

OP, sorry to hear, especially this is not something you wanted to happen.

May I ask - if your team had Contractors, did they remain? Any correlation you could make (level, remote, location)?

OP here: I'm not sure of the total number of people affected. I was one of three on my team of eight, but my manager indicated other teams were affected rolling up to their boss (four other teams).

Wow.

Surprised to hear that given the amount of work WF must do to satisfy the regulators.

Just, WOW. :(

That's one of the signs I've learned to look for is when you're asked to show what you do all day and to train others.
