Curious, as I read this email about the launch of "Fargo" - the Wells Fargo virtual assistant - if the rollout isn't intentionally timed with the big layoffs happening and coming... to lessen the pain of having to interact with Indian people who don't speak English very well? (Not slamming Indians whatsoever - fact is not all of them are easy to understand).

I'm a journalist for Bank Automation News looking into Wells Fargo's layoffs and offshoring of jobs to India. Let me know if you would be interested in speaking more about this, on or off the record. You can reach me by email at vswezey@royalmedia.com or on Twitter @vicswezey.
My money is on Fargo being the laughing stock of the banking industry. Fargo is only as good as the information provided by Wells Fargo technology which is basic at best and a dysfunctional mess at worst. “Powered by Google” sound nice but means nothing. InfoMAX at WFA was powered by Google and was a black hole.
No, Fargo will steal customer facing jobs.
Indians work mostly in backoffice jobs
