What kind of man is a CEO who intentionally betrays his own country by sending American jobs overseas in the search for profits??? A shameless egotist with a broken moral compass is the answer. A man who puts profits above loyalty, a man who puts his career above respect for others, a man who cannot be expected to behave in an ethical manner.
Charlie Scharf enjoys all the privileges and rights of an American citizen, and yet has so little respect for the country which has granted him and his family such exceptional advantages and extraordinary wealth.
Charlie likes to boast publicly about Wells Fargo’s Program for Militant Veterans. Do these brave veterans, who have so selflessly put their lives on the line for their country, know that Charlie is aggressively sending their brothers and sisters jobs overseas?
A man who so easily betrays his own country (and his own employees and their families) is not likely draw a line before betraying the trust of his bank’s customers, bank regulators, the US economy, the communities in which we do business, third party affiliates, and shareholders.
Businesses that implement a management philosophy that relies heavily on ethics are proven to be more successful than those who operate in an unethical manner. (Ethical businesses don’t need to pad profits by offshoring jobs and spending Billions to pad their stock price.)
Let’s bring in a CEO with integrity who can be the excellent role model this bank so desperately needs, a CEO who will set the tone from the top by promoting and rewarding ethical behavior.
