Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

My idea to cut expenses: Let’s offshore the jobs of our Senior Leadership Team

This one decision would save 50% to 60% of the most extravagant salaries at Wells Fargo. What makes more sense? Sending Susie’s $35,000/year job to India to save $21,000, or sending Charlie’s job to India to save $15,000,000?

Our C-Suite and BOD apparently think very highly of the talent in India. And their primary strategy appears to be cutting expenses above all else. Charlie is aggressively moving a significant portion of our workforce to India. Shouldn’t we move our leadership there so they can all collaborate and have a unified sense of purpose for pennies on the dollar? Charlie likes that this country produces an abundant skilled, English-speaking, educated workforce at a significant cost savings. It seems to me we could especially benefit from such a skilled talent pool on our Senior Leadership Team.

I recommend we get rid of (I mean layoff) Charlie, Barry, Saul, Scott, Kleber, Derrick, William etc + our entire BOD and then find cheaper more effective talented professionals offshore. Let’s be honest, there is a lot of room for improvement.

I would put good money on a new smarter harder-working CEO from Hyderabad not taking 4 or more years to get Wells Fargo out from under the Federal Asset Cap.

This is a great suggestion !! Since a lot of CEOs of companies are of Indian descent , it would only make sense to hire an Indian in India. Twice the brains at half the price.

I'll take a beer. You can Ask Anything in town hall but they screen the questions so they would dare ask if some of the senior leadership team jobs can be shipped off shore

We could save shareholders even more by just using AI! "Artificial" is surely better than these incompetent clowns!

This is brilliant. Their philosophy should work up and down the company, not just in our jobs.

Especially when you consider that Charlie has done nothing innovative.

Is there also a 30% offshore (India) target for the Wells Fargo C suite? I will buy a beer to the person who asks this question at the next town hall.

You might want to learn how to construct a sentence if you think it’s necessary for others to hear your opposing opinion.

Wow...this is the 21 century best idea! instead of sending low end jobs to India for cheap labor reason, we should send Top Senior Leadership job to India for the same cheap labor reason. Because brain and latent is same or even better brain and latent exist in India then chain Shaw. Why spend 30 million salary to one, you get 300 CEOs for that price. Awesome thinking...I 100% agree, and in lower jobs by outsourcing what you save is nothing and it is all risky, low-quality output and mess-up. Better outsource from top management.

This is the best post ever on this site! Put Charlie and the minions on a one way flight to India! Let them live out their life there. I am sure the revolt against him would not take long.

I could not agree more. Jobs that REQUIRE a firm - and I mean FIRM - grasp of English (procedures for example) are going there as well. HORRIBLE IDEA.
