Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Network connection lost.....reconnecting....

Just shoot me already with this 2 min incarceration with virtual desktop. I hate this with a passion. Nothing about this is better for the end user in my opinion

I don't really care if VDI works at all. If I can use my own hardware and get the id--ts in technology to keep their useless mitts off it, I'm cool with it.

Who cares. In case you did not notice this is a layoff board. We don’t care about your ignorance and lack of brains to function

@ggf

The poster that you attempted to insult was correct though. VDI essentially makes a laptop a d-mb terminal. That's great that you can still launch notepad without logging into vdi, but so what?

Do you have anything real to contribute, or only immature statements?

Moved to VDI late last month.

First week was great, responsive experience with minimal latency and improved performance for cloud apps.
Second week was also fairly fast and good.

But after those first two weeks, it's slowly becoming a slog. Multiple 2-minute drills per day, cloud apps are no longer faster, latency is creeping up noticeably.

It works, yes. It's not a great solution from an end-user perspective despite the benefits it offers the "firm".

LOL @pac+1n2zFBa4 . You really show your ignorance about technology in your post. I love it. Thank you.

You are not alone!
The VDI is a return to 1970's technology using laptops.
VDI strips down the laptop to be nothing more than a d-mb terminal used in the '70s. Another joke of leadership tools from the former JP Morgan that never worked their way up.
