I’m at this interesting place in my career where…I’m good where I am? The compensation and work responsibilities are at optimal levels. However, conventional corporate culture says I should keep striving for promotion and seek out stretch opportunities.
I’m wondering if anyone’s ever been happy in a role but still went for that next promotion. If so why? Just trying to figure out what drives someone to get to that management position where they sacrifice family and personal time when they’re already in a financially secure role.
