Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Id--ts everywhere...well in leadership

It is astounding to me the level of incompetence and idiocy that is allowed to be in positions of power and authority here. When I tell you they have NO clue and don't want to have a clue. The decisions based on feelings and thoughts vs information and facts continues to drive this place to failure. The bad part, they won't be made accountable because of all the yes people or convenient selective amnesia. Unbelievable

Saul, TK , the whole tech leadership has grown stagnant. The world is out maneuvering these so called leaders. Not only are they stagnant in cutting edge they are really bad people managers. There are very few folks who trust this group, especially TK.

Current manager is coasting casually into retirement soon so all but checked out in every way although feigns that they care and are there for you. Useless.

Prior manager was a master at manipulation and war games. Created and rewarded toxicity among the team. Took WF entirely too long to show them the door. Everyone but manager paid the price. And Manager got severance.

Prior Manager was a control freak with zero leadership skills or human decency. Constantly boasting about their work and how important they are. Would say the most unprofessional things but never held accountable because of their race and age.

Odd thing, it’s been YEARS since I had even a mediocre Manager and some of the best were while I was far lower on the totem pole in my career.

I only chose to be with one of them via job posting. Can hardly wait for the next prize when this bonehead retires. Hopefully I will be displaced from this h€LL hole of a company before then.

I don’t know how it happens. Seriously.
I run into managers that don’t even know which policies they need to be working from, or other managers that have been working off documentation that has been outdated for multiple years. Why should I be the one to know this?
That’s why I just come here, so what is barely required, then go home. Collect check. Repeat.

Record profits built on layoffs, exploitation, and human misery @xes+1n0DCpLZ. When you bake a pie and then lay-off the baker, the wait staff, the hostess, and close the restaurant it’s going to equate to more pie for the guy that ordered it.. no one else is left to get a slice.

But corporate America just made record profits during an insane period of inflation, it is obviously working.

Corporate America is lead by cowardice and not courage in 2023. They’re terrified of their own shadows but want to dictate and define what it means to be a success or a failure. Gaslighting your workforce and holding them hostage in cubicle plantations because you’re not forward thinking enough to consider that work is an intangible end result as opposed to a piece of toxic, corporately held real estate is indicative of the slow to evolve cowards we have steering the ship. Here’s the tea. Any successful business knows one thing. That one thing is that their people are their most VALUABLE resource. Employee engagement and HAPPINESS has a direct connection to increased PROFITS and shared success (i.e. raises). It’s not hard. It’s not rocket science. To Charlie and the board, we’re not the enemy. Why do you treat us like an invading army when you enrich yourselves on our labor? There’s one part of our balance sheet that never makes sense, and it’s the compensation piece on the executive level. They exploit, gaslight, and ultimately cast off in order to keep the gravy train rolling. Isn’t it time for a change?
