Wait a minute, you have gyms and wellness coaches????? We can’t even get water in our work location. WTF
I mean I'm not surprised. In fact I'm surprised it took this long.

Coach Mark came to several leadership meetings I was in and each time his whole bald Richard Simmons routine was just surreal and huge waste of time. He made his bed when he sent out an email talking about how horrible Coca Cola was for your health and how it was used to clean up blood at accident scenes (!). Someone (I assume in Atlanta) likely explained to his leadership that Coca Cola was a big account for Verizon. Suddenly we all got an email recall notice and his email just disappeared. Mark also disappeared shortly thereafter under a cloud of controversy. Good times at Big Red!
You all will be sorry for Verizon letting us go. Now you have no protection.
Verizon, exposing themselves to lawsuits! Gotta love it.
Wait and see, heart attack heaven, V-teamers will file lawsuits and get rich quick!
Previously announced -- VZ Gyms' slated to open seven (7) days a week beginning Monday, June 5, 2023, without any oversight. All gyms' closed until that Monday. Question, whether gyms' will continue to be of value to VZ for its employees?
This was always a scam, albeit also the only real way to get ahead within the company. The Gymboree bois and grlz used the 'wellness' centers more as a center of influence peddling and tuchas kissing than muscle maintenance. It was entertaining to watch the faux warriors playing at Navy SEALs training. Clearly, the BUDS that they were drinking was Bud-lite. Besides Gymboree is really a US thing and therefore not really necessary.
How they hung around this long is astonishing... let alone when we worked on site and had a gym. They worked the most cush schedule m-f 6-3 or 9-6... while majority of workers worked the weekends, nights, ect. Sadly the gym wasn't open late or on weekends... always wondered why we couldn't sign a waiver and go when we wanted to instead of during their hours. Sad to see anyone let go but the wellness team won't be missed, they were visible as much at WFH as in the office.
But its Wellness Wednesday!
When they started coming into meetings doing stretch breaks it seeemed a bit much. When they came into bluejeans meetings to do stretch breaksI felt bad for them and wondered how long. I guess this long.
Finally. This should of happened years ago. They were not needed. You work out at your own risk so what’s the point. Peace out.
Factor in RTO is not 100% and probably not for a long time, buildings don't have the traffic anymore to justify gyms at the office. Outside Basking Ridge and Dallas, doubtful any gym will survive.
VZ offered gym pass at the beginning of the year so this makes total sense
A piece at a time. Our Director down south told us a finance VP in Tulsa is mysteriously moving on. This will continue as it always has at the end of every month. A piece at a time
Wtf the company was paying for this bill sh-t?!? Send it to zero.
CAN THEY DO THAT?
Check for yourself - call a local coach - we found out yesterday. On pay for 30 days.
Where’d you get this info? RIFs ALWAYS happen on a Thursday and considering several coaches were just hired this seems … false at best
