I find it fascinating that Wells Fargo could not attract a top level proven leader to head up the Consumer Bank. Wells Fargo has one of the best footprints across the US and a great network of branches to serve customers. Wells Fargo should be able to attract the best of the best to lead this group.
Instead, we decide the best candidate we can come with an internal promotion, the head of IT. Where the he-l is the board? Why isn't someone questioning Charlie, to say this is the best you can come up with? Everyone knows IT at Wells Fargo is a disaster. Not saying, he created all the IT problems, but he sure hasn't fixed them. What do we think is going to happen in Consumer?
