Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Is Truist stock a good buy at this level?

If they are as conservative as BB&T once once, they should not be impacted too much by the banking crisis.

Short sellers are done for the time being, dividend is solid. Even with this EL, which is no danger by the way, no reason to dump it.

Anyone else thinking we went through all his merger misery just for some bigger bank to gobble us up? That may have been EL' plan all along.

I think the bank will survive, there may be a dividend cut coming, and probably layoffs any day. Because that’s how they manage. But it should survive

The best way to make a small fortune in Truist stock is to start with a large one. Same goes for BB&T before merger.

I have it categorized as a set-to-fail bank. Time will tell...

I'm glad I didn't stay there. The stock offers, even back then, were worthless. Glad I could see through the nonsense.

Look at the Truist long-term stock chart. The stock price is where it was 20+ years ago - yet executive management just received huge raises.

Is that really the type of organization where you want to invest your money? A terrible management team is a problem, a BOD that rewards them handsomely anyway is an order of magnitude worse.

In a word, No. it has never been a good buy. Even prior to the merger. Just go get an S&P index fund
