Charlie is WAY too much of a si--y to use a chainsaw. He'll have someone schedule an online meeting with you to let you know your position has been eliminated. And he won't even have the decency to tell you when the current layoffs are done in your group.
The dead weight will go to the office. The performers, because they WFH, are the ones quitting. Good strategy. /s
