Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Right? Right? Right?

Who else gets stuck on calls with upper midwesterners that can't stop saying "right?" multiple times per spoken sentence?

🤮

It’s the people who make a statement and punctuate it with “right.” Not in the form of a question, but seemingly to reinforce whatever BS they just spewed. EX: “Marsalis Wallace sent two of his men to throw Tony Roccamorrow out a two story window for giving Mia Wallace a foot massage, right!”
OR
“The performance review process at Wells Fargo is completely unbiased by senior management and there’s no bell curve based on a quota set by managers, right.”

See, we all know both statements are completely false, which is why the person making the statement needs to back himself up.

Blame Minnesota, not the Midwest. It's all Minnesota.

I worked with a really smart guy who said "right" all the time. I don't mind it at all, as he was smart and helpful. I will take a rank-and-file Midwesterner's "right" habit all day long over our alleged leader Charlie and his mastery of "uh, um, uh" oratory skills.

Ya'all are gonna love it when we gets more Texan folk on them calls. FFS find something important to whine

@oqy

No one suggested that. No reason for you to have hurt feelings.

The point of this thread is an attempt to help people from MN and IA to stop sounding like dolts by saying "right?" multiple times per sentence.

"Right?" can have a place at the end of a sentence. But the folks up north keep using it mid-sentence and it sounds like nails on chalkboard to everyone else on the phone.

Yeah... We should only speak with New Yorkers because they are always "Right-O".

Fer sure, bro. Like, I hate it when, like, people have, like, annoying mannerisms. And all they talk about is, like, how living in elite cities with rich people is great for mortgages, you know? I'm like "Bro, I do not care, bro." Totally pointless, you know? But, like, that's my reality and I'm just trying to live my truth and no one seems to care. It really harshes my mellow, man. Peace, bro

Don't be butthurt. I'm on calls with people all over the country, and 99% of the time the "right? right? right?" nonsense is from people in MN or IA.

Example of being normal:
To unlock your door, insert the key and turn. Then turn the knob and push the door open.

Example of some MN/IA employees:
To unlock your door, right?, insert the key, right?, and then turn. Ok? And then turn the knob, right?, and then open the door.

Stop trying to sound like a great speaker. Just give plain answers to questions, and ask your own questions in a plain manner. "right? right? right?" just makes you sound like a dolt.
