This board is too populated with self righteous blowhards who lack the backbone to leave absent being laid off and collecting severance. I think it more likely, they are too lazy to put in the effort to find another job outside of WF or they have risen to a salary level that exceeds their actual skill level and have extended the, selves to far financially to leave.
I left without another job to begin. I banked up enough money to not be driven by that as my main consideration. I did get another role (not difficult at all) while it was less money it was still a six figure salary. In less than a year I was presented with 2 raises and a promotion for yet another raise. The best part is I work in a company that treats me as a professional.
If you've been at WF more than 5 years you've seen the change (for the worse) that has taken place. To those of you worried about age discrimination, I was 63 when I got hired for my current role and I have seen various other non entry level jobs filled with plenty of 55+ hires. It's not going to improve at WF anytime soon; control your story and put this sad experience behind you and get out.
