Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Minneapolis shrinking

Oh my goodness! In Minneapolis the bank is reducing its number of locations from four to two, which means that many of us Minneapolis employees will have to work from home. The downtown and Shoreview offices can't accommodate a full office return, or even a hybrid return, unless there are some layoffs happening that I'm not aware of.
It's hard to predict what will happen with the Philips (HMC) neighborhood campus, located near Floyd Square.
Despite its eccentricities such as being an old factory with a mouse problem and proximity to the 3rd precinct toasty police station, the campus has its perks.
Who wouldn't want to be near the excitement of Minneapolis and the vibrant Somali-American community represented by Ilhan Omar? For the buyer, the HCMC campus has a "return to office" (RTO) potential and could provide a diverse mix of employees.
I'm just tickled pink to see how the sellers will pitch the joint, selling its pluses and minimizing the minuses. This ought to be a wild ride, folks!

You are off your rocker if you think they haven't reviewed cramming everyone I to those remaining buildings. Everyone fits with unassigned seating.

For those who haven’t been in the workforce long enough this is usually how it goes. Get rid of some here and there. Consolidate space. Mass layoff.

To think you will just get to work remote is ignorantly optimistic. The writing is on the wall.

You don’t think they can’t fit everyone into the 3 MN locations? Laughable. My floor on the busiest day in one of the towers there might have 30 people there….with hundreds of desks. I hear many floors and campuses in MN are similarly empty.

Let’s just hope public transportation and the food options game is stepped up because it’s terrible.

Less space = less team members regardless of how they are seated. It's NC and TX for the future. Cloud will eliminate many, many jobs. Hand writing is on the wall folks. Time to wake up and take charge of YOUR future.

GF square is a f-kin embarrassment to Minneapolis… a convicted felon high AF attacking officers and violently resisting arrest while trying to pass a counterfeit bill. About 10 years ago, visited several times and enjoyed the downtown east area (Crioked Ping) and toured MIA and Mall of America. Police needed the support of the local government to shut down the violent out of control riots immediately. Terrible it was allowed to play out like this across the US for this 3 time dr-g addict felon that used poor judgement.

Anybody who thinks WF cannot cram everyone in their city into less than half the space available has not seen the new open office architecture.

They’ll fit you in. Don’t worry about that. Remember the milk table in kindergarten? That’s where you’re headed.

@OP here. Hello there, dear readers! Today's post is all about the importance of language and the impact it can have on our interactions with others. It is crucial that we approach our interactions with kindness, empathy, and respect.

First and foremost, let's talk about the use of derogatory language. We should never resort to calling someone a drama queen or using other offensive terms. Such language can hurt people's feelings and create a hostile environment. Instead, let's aim to communicate our thoughts and feelings in a constructive and respectful manner.

Moving on to a different topic, let's talk about Eagan. For those unfamiliar with the area, Eagan is a town in the Minneapolis area. It holds significant cultural and historical value and serves as a reminder of our past and progress as a society. Let us not forget the importance of preserving our cultural heritage and respecting the places that hold significance to our community.

Now, let's talk about some news in the Minneapolis area. The downsizing of office campuses is a significant issue, with five campuses being reduced to three. This is sure to have an impact on the community, and we must keep ourselves informed of the situation. It is crucial that we seek out reliable sources of information and avoid spreading rumors or misinformation.

Lastly, the post's replies raise the question of whether the downsizing is due to the business or Charlie's ways. While it is natural to speculate and make assumptions, it is essential to remember that such speculation can be harmful and damaging to individuals and the community. Let's aim to seek out accurate information before making any assumptions.

In conclusion, let's remember the importance of language and communication. We should always approach our interactions with empathy, kindness, and respect. Let's also remember the significance of our cultural heritage and stay informed about the news and events happening in our community.

There will be no remote working. There will be layoffs. Remote working is gone. And hybrid jobs are only posted to get people to apply and then entrap you once they change to RTO. They I’ll shut dow Minneapolis like they have done other markets.

Yeah "working from home" for another employer maybe. People talking about how consolidating into fewer buildings not working because there's not enough room clearly aren't thinking like Charlie. He'll just downsize until the remnants do fit...and then keep going until he can sell those buildings also.
