Most employees hate this company, they stay for the money. Not sure how much longer at&t can hang on, maybe three years? I think Stankey is deliberately leading at&t into eventual bankruptcy. He despises the employees and our customers. There just doesn't appear to be anything to look forward to.

you could be right he may be doing it on purpose so he can great reset the company lol it would be about his speed
I’m staying for the micromanaging and harassment, I enjoy my stress filled days of extra responsibilities while trying to attain an internal number but ignore the customers. Great business and employee plan.
What is this debt you talking about?
“AT&T making billions. Bankrupt that!“
Clueless sheep , company is $130b+ in debit
I got mine.

If that's what you're thinking, better skedaddle while the job market is holding up.
AT&T making billions. Bankrupt that!
Whiners are gonna whine.
Leadership has decided to operate in a Utility mindset, ie “ customers need what we have”. Unfortunately many other companies are competing for the same stagnant piece of T’s pie at much lower prices and higher margins. The obvious signs that this company is in slow but steady decline is the lack of leading technology to the marketplace, T is the last to the party..always. Executive leadership will ride this until the water reaches their toes, then they parachute. T is a shell of the company it once was, very very sad. Employees should have a career plan outside of T, especially younger ones. There will always be jobs with a T logo on the check, but they will likely be few and far between.
This is by design, when you're just a simple telco company (Wireless/Fiber), you will need to cut headcount to a manageable number to control cost to balance revenues. As far as the comment about bankruptcy, just silly talk being that T is a 120B yearly revenue company. Not going to happen, just cutting headcount to help with free cash flow.
T will have to buyback shares. Once the debt is inline, investors will start talking about the 3billion more shares T has outstanding than VZ. That will be additional years of money T will have to spend to get in line with competitors.
Think 2030 before this shipped starts to see daylight.
Let's see what pros say:
Taking a long-term view
Ultimately, AT&T seems locked into its current position as a pure-telecom company that's stuck paying off its bills for the foreseeable future. Rising rates could make refinancing unattractive, so management could pay down its notes as they come due. But that's not necessarily bad for investors. Less debt makes AT&T a healthier and more reliable dividend stock. Plus, AT&T's subscriber growth shows that it's thriving at what it does best -- running its wireless business.
Go back to sleep Stankey.
@OP+1mg2V1OY dude get a life ok. Spewing hate doesn't do anything. AT&T is not a bad company I don't know what they he-l you talking about. If you no longer work for them then move on coming here an bi--hing about it shows craziness. All corporate are the same!
