Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

5 days a week RTO on the horizon?

I was told by my boss that I should be prepared for Wells to return to 5 days a week expectations. They didn't say when or if it would be company-wide, but that was the indication they got from their boss.

Anyone else hear that?

Yes, I've heard that from our Director, although she says she's just guessing...has no inside info...

Literally had a middle level manager follow me to my desk & intimidate me into "helping" her with something that she wasn't supposed to have access to that she got her hand slapped for by someone else. I guess this is deemed "collaboration."

Does "collaboration" mean an open invitation to being treated like dirt or hara..ment by some coworkers? With the quality of the people in some locations, that what it appears to be.
Why can't the WFH be held to the same standards as everyone else? Surely this will affect Y/E reviews.

This is likely due to Jaime Dimon’s (JP Morgan) recent announcement that senior leaders need to RTO 5 days per week. Charlie has generally followed Jaime’s lead.

Would be helpful if all the people posting about RTO could at least let us know what Line of Business your referring to since it's so widespread and not everyone gets thee same information.

Best advice... don't pay attention until it actually happens

To make room for full time return to office for those who were in the office pre-covid, HR will be reclassifying all workers who were full time work from home pre-covid as work from home again. This will put us back to a 2019 status quo. Between this move and the ongoing layoffs, space problems in many locations will be solved.

5 days a week is not happening in June. For those that were in leadership positions during the initial RTO you will know that we had months and months and months of meetings leading up to RTO. And while the effort wouldn't be the same, there is just no way that in 45 days the whole company is back to 5 days a week.

Super bad rumor.

I do not like working in our offices. Sorry. They need a MAJOR makeover and deep sterilization or else I don’t want to be around all the bugs.

In my department, the buzz is 5 days a week as a company-wide mandate starting in June. Some posters in other threads have also brought up this rumor. We'll see what happens in June.

I’ve heard four days a week is the goal they are working towards. CIB here. We are constantly told that most of CIB is five days already and has been for some time (traders, etc.) and that those of us who are doing 3/2 should not be complaining.

There's not enough room for 5 days/week with Wells terminating so many leases. That's aspirational -- CPG says, "NUH UH!"

If you fell for the collaboration narrative you will definitely fall for the alien invasion.

I have not heard anything about it from my leadership. If this happens, it will add so much pain and suffering for me. I joined a new team a while ago and all the members ostracize me. It is difficult seating in an office for 8 hours when no one talks to you. What happened with the so called collaboration?

Why stop at 5? Let’s make it 7 while we’re so climate focused. I wonder how they’ll spin it when things go to 4 worldwide and they declare Sunday as the new sabbath
