Why does Wells Fargo want to shed its folksy image? We already have Chase and Citi and Goldman. Wells Fargo was built on “boring” banking, mortgages, auto loans, checking accounts, etc.
It's a mystery how Minneapolis and Des Moines are still active hubs at all.
If Charlie and Co wants to shed Wells' folksy image, exiting the upper midwest would be an obvious place to start.
This would still leave plenty of recruiting opportunities for NC, TX, AZ, CA, etc.
