Five people on my team got the ax. Some with over 25 years in. All US employees.

yes it happened. lots of "today is my last day at wells fargo" emails yesterday
- 5% of US based employees in FHP under MP got let go on 4/18
Got the good ole pink slip today and was displaced from the firm. I am very excited to get a break from the toxic place. IT has one more down in the USA.
A few peeps I work with on a different team were displaced today.
Oh dear, H1B workers are still hired to start next few months.

Enterprise Database Management lost 70 today and 2 were in Data Protection my team. All On Shore. Offshore Not affected.....

I know of some admins who were laid off in commercial banking. I'm guessing their managers will get admins from the Philippines now.

Nailed it. Just heard some peeps let go because of reducing expenses and followed up with we are bringing on a handful of offshore.

my tech area was cleaned out enough 28 days ago. glad we dodged a bullet this time around
although nearly a full year paid is a good deal in most cases

Big hits in technology area for North Carolina, Iowa, and Minnesota. Oh wait - just in, the mentioned lost jobs today are moving from US and now going to India.

They didn't mention who. They have already started resourcing Docs to Doc Magic, but that was recently placed on hold to take care of SHRP defects.

My team has meetings this afternoon for an "announcement" everyone is tight-lipped right now.
There were talks last week of outsourcing the mortgage origination app (CORE). Thats going to cause a lot of layoff in the near future if they do.

Hopefully they get rid of all the lazy mortgage operations. The processing managers all need to go.
I received my 60 day notice. I'm in Tech in Minneapolis. Others in my dept in other cities also let go.

My colleague just got laid off. Manager set up a confidential meeting this morning and she was given notice.
