Heard layoffs in May will be larger than the ones today- anyone hear this and know which business lines will be impacted?

Wells Fargo is always 5+ years behind. All those DBAs and OS teams were laid off as they hope developers will pick up the slack under DevOps.
Except DevOps has proven it doesn't scale.
Platform Engineering is the next methodology replacing DevOps.
DevOps cut too deeply and took away too much of developer focus on programming. Platform Engineering brings back the infrastructure teams so developers can get back to more programming.
Big time cuts coming for the risk team. But will anyone notice?
yep these events are monthly across the org, at a minimum
Those managers hire H1 B and OPT visas to secure their own jobs.
@1epf+1mc1G36L. Not only that, many are ABUSIVE to the people working for them as they are INSECURE.
Charlie came from JPM. Its all about profits and more profits.
They just posted record profits in Q1. Best time to lay off the workers and ship more jobs offshore. Wonder why Wells fails regulations and compliance and pays hundreds of millions in fines often!
Get a clue Charlie! You have all these lazy incompetent middle managers doing nothing. They are ripping the company off. You lay off all your workers and keep these bottom feeders. They sit at home and work 2nd jobs while being paid by Wells Fargo and collecting benefits. Love it that they figured out how to double dip and rip off Wells Fargo!!!!
Multiple middle managers in Foundational Hosting Platforms and many OS engineers.
what's FHP ?
Lots of good resources let go today. Not a single middle manager!
@1nvr exactly what the cloud is for.
over 70 laid off in EDM (enterprise database management) today and even more in FHP. Those Turds in upper management didn't get touched
I heard tech will be affected
Over 100 laid off today in Auto Finance. Underwriters and Managers.
