Why do only the workers care about productivity? Management doesn't care if you are productive at all.
If you get everyone back in the office the long romantic pond walks and early swim sessions will start back up again. No bueno for productivity
Correct me if I'm wrong but someone said that if you want to progress in this company you should be in the office for 5 days per week. The water cooler talk, coffee talk and you bu-t time in the office chair is more valuable than your actual work. If you wait long enough they will be forced to promote you because rehire for them would be hard with this d-mb requirements to be in the office.
My boss, their boss, and their boss's boss have collectively spent less time in their roles than the employees at the first level. However, they have no interest in understanding the basics of their work and demand that tasks are completed without regard for the challenges faced by their subordinates. This behavior is a result of Frank's tendency to surround himself with "Yes men" and terminate anyone who questions him. Consequently, the work environment has become chaotic and the turnover rate has skyrocketed. Despite this, the higher-ups refuse to acknowledge their role in the issues and instead blame their employees for not working hard enough. They have even resorted to tracking hours in the office as a measure of productivity. As a result, there is a pervasive sense of dissatisfaction among employees, who feel undervalued and unrewarded for their efforts. If the company continues down this path, it will lose its competitive edge as experienced employees exit without proper process documentation, leaving a mess that will take years to recover from.
