Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Mortgage

When will Charlie finally finish off mortgage? The HMCs that are left are pathetic. Our processors closers and underwriters that are left are the bottom of the barrel. India is screwing up everything they do. Realtors builders and borrowers want nothing to do with us. Our customer service scores are in the toilet. Our rates are hideous and not competitive. This hub mess is a complete joke. Charlie axed all of our talent and now they have gone to the competitors where they are ki-ling us in all the markets. WTF was Charlie thinking? We went from the nations number one mortgage lender to the gutter. Charlie made it very clear that Wells Fargo was exiting mortgage. We hired Kristy to be the first African American president of mortgage and she failed miserably. Please dear God pull the plug and be done wit the embarrassment!

“Rates for Wells Fargo are the worst. We are getting hammered everywhere. And our customer service suc&s Are you delusional!? No one wants to do business with us thanks to Charlie.”

You obviously don’t work in sales. Wells rates are about the very best in the industry. Conforming rates decent too.

Good old Charlie drinking and posting again. Yes Charlie you are in denial that all of your top HMCs are gone. Remember you axed everyone after the last Prez club trip in February. The rest got fed up with your stupid hub decisions laying off all the talented processors closers and underwriters. Our competition now benefits from all our talentt. Get help for your boozing it up as you have no thought process and have delusional thinking. We used to be the nations number 1 mortgage lender and serviced. Now we are nothing. Stop posting your BS

And another lie that “top HMCs have left”.

Virtually all of the prez club people are still at Wells. And still doing extremely well. They got big retention bonuses that are still set to be paid this year and WF is preparing to bump comp for all the big producers again this year when comp plans roll out in Q3.

The mortgage doomsday folks are ignorant. Yes mortgage is smaller than it was and will be going forward, but Wells still has HUGE producers in key markets that make a lot of money and will continue to.

Rates at Wells are not terrible. That’s a lie. Conforming rates are sort of middle of the road but jumbo rates are best in the industry (and I’m not even taking into account relationship pricing).

Um, pretty sure the remaining underwriters are not "bottom of the Barrell". A lot of underwriters left now have the highest production and had the best quality prior to the cleave.

Most of the other takes are pretty accurate.

Sucks for sales because the easily manipulated underwriters that make the errors needed to get their cr-p deals accidently approved are no longer around...they need those worst-of-the-worst underwriters even more now.

I’m still not understanding where you think all of this volume will come from to make mortgage profitable in this environment. Mortgage is done for a few years pretty much everywhere.

Classic exec tactic, hamstring the business, then claim it's not competitive and shut it down. Charlie took us from first to worst, and got pay increases and bonuses for doing it.
