Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

I feel useless.

I want to do work.

I want to contribute to society.

Every time I try to do the right thing, and make a difference, I get shot down by one of my 5 bosses.

Fu-k the firm. It breeds mediocrity and is literally office space.

Congratulations, OP. You have discovered the ugly truth about working for a corporation. Used to be that that aspect was better hidden because we were treated better, felt like we were on a winning team and it felt like our work contributed to those good feelings. Nope, it was all lies and BS propped up by fake accounts and incredible pressure on branch folks. Now, all is laid bare.

I’m coping by doing the bare minimum, putting on a good show and face as is expected and working on launching a business.

You are useless because they make you feel useless. Corrupt company and a CEO that is a criminal. They will use you until they decide to ax you.

Every time I asked for work to do, they say (H1B) XYZ are better than American.

I stopped asking, because what comes after I ask for work to do.

If you intend to do the work yourself, they would be ok
But if your idea involves hiring 5 new people to do the work then probably not
