Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Finish ki-ling mortgage

Wells Fargo announced in January they were pulling out of mortgages. Please just pull the plug. Our rates are horrible. Our processors underwriters and closers are terrible (or what is left). Managers are clueless. Customer service scores are at rock bottom. India workers have destroyed us. I lost 4 customers this week due to all the above. Realtors and builders steer their customers away. Wells Fargo once known as the nations number one lender is now the nations number one corrupt company. Time to pull the plug

I love how Wells Fargo was bragging a year ago how all the small mortgage companies and brokers would be put out of business by companies like Wells Fargo. Guess what Wells Fargo? Those companies are all busier than ever. They are HIRING and growing and have left Wells in the dust. Nice try Charlie!!! Show you can’t manage cr-p.

Charlie’s only vision is to sell or fold the lines of business he doesn’t have the skills to manage, which means that Wells Fargo is on it’s way into the Failed Companies category.

Most of the “big” big producers in mortgage are still there and still doing very well. Very few have left, except the large group that got axed back in Feb.

There once was a guy that had 12 ba--s instead of 2.

He didn't live very long. The rest of his body was all messed up too.

The point is, never give up.

I feel bad for Americans. Our politicians running banking are mo--ns. All this volume will go to outfits like rocket mortgage w poor understanding of credit risk and we'll another 2008. Rates are then going to be sky high and home prices are going to be cut in half and take 20-30 yrs to recover.

Leave while you have somewhat of a reputation in tact. I look forward to going up against Wells Fargo now that I know they can’t do competitive offer matches or close on time. Not to mention the nightmare of a process they put the borrowers through. Enough was enough for me. Oh, and watch your pipelines because centralized has access to your pipeline and can make changes without our consent. Ask yourself, do you have access to centralized’s pipelines? Do they have the same max pricing concessions as them?? The answer is no.

I feel the whole system is broken.

My manager at a regional bank posted a modeling job for over a year. Collected many resumes and made interviews to learn how other banks do mortgage modeling. That was basically his full time workload reviewing resumes and interviewing candidates.

There were lots of applicants, both domestic and international. Labor shortage was never true for risk, technology and analytics.

He used the applicants to learned what he needed to do his job. His Interviews were means to collect information how to do the work correctly.

At the end of 1 year, He hired a H1B visa worker.
