Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Activities for which you can sue your current employer include…

#1. A hostile work environment (When an employee feels that the culture of the company he or she works for has produced an environment that is not only hostile to his or her career interests but hostile to the employee on a personal and emotional level, the employee may be entitled to sue the company for damages.

#2. Age discrimination is flourishing at your current employer. Educate yourselves about it.

  1. Gender pay discrimination (Yes, it is still happening. Management claims it’s not, however they hide behind the wide salary ranges within each job description.
  1. Interfering with employee rights (Employers cannot threaten employees with adverse consequences if they engage in a protected, concerted activity.)
  1. Misrepresented job descriptions. (There are several instances in my LOB where favored employees have been assigned a job description which has nothing to do with the work they are doing in order to get them a higher salary/bonus.)
  1. Retaliation (Retaliation is not just termination. It is any adverse action taken by your manager or employer for raising a complaint or ethics issue.)

There are more. Our current employer only attempts to change their ways when lawsuits are involved or allegations go public. Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire.

OP here: Ha! Good point. I accept accountability for my mistakes, unlike our employer who prefers to deflect, deceive and deny.

How about all the phony reassignments of employees to new managers to meet (falsify) our CEO’s Rule of 7? I’ve never seen such shenanigans. Entry level employees assigned to Senior Directors but “a dotted line” to their previous manager??

Bogus job interviews STILL occurring …

Non- exempt employees still working OT in order to get their work done but not allowed to put OT on their timesheets. Aggressive cost-cutting policies have put employees and managers under intense pressure to do more with less.

CEO “allegedly” abusing company stock buybacks to manipulate stock price for his own benefit.
